One day in the spring of 1926, a young man, freshly arrived in Montreal and job hunting, saw an ad in a newspaper. Not long afterward, a young woman noticed a sign on a downtown Montreal building. Both decided to investigate. Thus began the new journey of Emeric Sala and Rosemary Gillies. Intrigued by what they learned and by each other, they became Bahá’is, got married and for the next forty-five years their mutual journey would take them around and around the world in an adventure halted only by Rosemary’s death in 1980.
