Safiniy-i `Irfán is a collection of studies on the pricipal beliefs and Sacred Texts of the Baha'i Faith, particularly papers presented at Irfan Colloquia. The Colloquia, sponsored by Haj Mehdi Arjmand Memorial Fund, started in 1993 and are being held annually in North America and in Europe, in English, Persian and German languages separately.
The Haj Mehdi Arjmand Memorial Fund was established in 1992 to honr Haj Mehdi Arjmand (1861-1941), a prominent teach and scholar of the Baha'i Faith in Persia. 'Irfan is a Persian-Arabic word referring to mystical, theological and spiritual knowledge. 'Irfan Colloquia aim to foster study of the scriptures of the world's religions from a Baha'i perspective.
