The Baha'i World 2002-2003 is the tenth volume in the annual series, the primary historical and public information record of the Baha'i International Community.
The book contains articles surveying Baha'i activities between Ridvan 2002 and Ridvan 2003, including the release of the message of the Universal House of Justice to the world's religious leaders and new translations of Baha'u'llah's Writings, Baha'i participation in the United Nations World Summit on Sustainable Development, Baha'i efforts to promote race unity and social cohesion, and a profile of APRODEPIT, a Baha'i-inspired development organization in Chad. Essays this year include "Obligation and Responsibility in Constructing a World Civilization" by Hoda Mahmoudi, "Facing the Global HIV/AIDS Epidemic: A Baha'i Perspective" by Dawn K. Smith, and "World Watch" (on ways in which individuals seek to effect social change) by Ann Boyles. Regular features include "The Year in Review", which surveys activities of Baha'i communities around the world, a report on the work of the Baha'i International Community, statements made by the BIC during the year, and an update on the situation of the Baha'is in Iran and Egypt.
